“Living With War: In The Beginning" a CD/DVD release by Neil Young received the Developer Excellence in Menus & Presentation Award at the 2007 DVDA Excellence Awards along with three other recipients, including Mission Impossible III. The award was presented to its developers Shakey Pictures and Total Media Group. Toshi Onuki (art director) and Rich Winter (DVD author) attended the award ceremony in Burbank, California.
The annual DVDA Excellence Awards are presented by the DVD Association. These awards recognize excellence in the creativity, craftsmanship and application of technology in the production and authoring of Standard DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. The Developer Excellence Awards consist of 10 categories including Menus & Presentation, Audio, Authoring Design, Video Encoding and Advanced Interactivity.
“Living With War ” was nominated for three 2007 Grammy Awards in the categories of Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance (both for "Lookin' for a Leader").
