Steven Gregory is the Proprietor and Creative Director of Canal Street Studios, a motion graphics boutique shop, located within Total Media Group’s South San Francisco studios. After 20 years working nationwide in design and related industries, he spent eight years as Creative Director of Total Media Group, founding Canal Street Studios here in 1999. He left TMG in 2002 to spend the next two years as Creative Director of Rough House, a post-production and effects house in San Francisco. In early 2005, Steven returned to re-open Canal Street Studios at its present location.
An award-winning graphics designer, art and creative director, Steven comes from the old-school where he has also served as director, videographer and video editor over the years. His creative eye and understanding of the relationship between design and communication is unparalleled, and his hands-on experience in all areas of production gives him an innate sense of "how to get it done." He is uniquely qualified to take a project from concept through completion. Producers love him because he speaks their language and achieves the highest degree of quality within the scope of the project. Clients often walk in with a shadow of a concept and trust Steven to help them bring that concept into full blossom and beyond.
Accomplished in the industry-standard design tools and platforms, it is not about the tools he uses, but the results he produces.
