formally trained artist and sculptor, Toshi has applied his unique creative sensibilities to videotape editing, quite literally raising editing to the level of art form. Toshi's approach with video is the same as with his art and sculpture. He wrings every possible capability from whatever system he is working on, whatever the project requires. He does not adapt to what the technology is capable of, but rather sculpts the technology to perform the function he needs it to. How he does it is anybody's guess (and we don't ask), but the results are up on the screen in his award-winning work. Keep an eye on the local art scene too, as Toshi often participates in gallery showings.
